    BLACK HISTORY WEEK - study

    10 October 2019 (by admin)

In school next week we are having our BLACK HISTORY week. Children will study a famous person from black history.

It should be a very interesting and informative week.

Mr O'Leary is also holding a whole school challenge - as a family can you produce a project about a famous person from BLACK HISTORY? First you need to have a family discussion and decide who you are going to study - work together and have family discussion time together. Your project must be handed in by the last day of this half-term - Thursday 24th October.

Some ideas to think about: Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, Oprah Winfrey, Jesse Owens, Nelson Mandela, Pele, Harriet Tubman, Whoopi Goldberg, Kofi Annan etc.

    Good luck and learn together.

HOT OFF THE SCHOOL PRESS - every family will be presented with a school certificate for working on a project.

MR O'LEARY WILL CHOOSE ONE PROJECT THAT REFLECTS CREATIVITY AND IS VERY INFORMATIVE - A PROJECT THAT OBVIOUSLY SHOWS A LOT OF TIME HAS BEEN SPENT ON IT AS A FAMILY and that project will WIN A FAMILY CINEMA VOUCHER. Your family can then spend quality time together at a local cinema.

Who will you study over the next couple of weeks?
