WORLD SIGHT DAY 2019 (10th October)

    7 October 2019 (by admin)

In the KS2 assembly this morning we mentioned WORLD SIGHT DAY 2019 - this is a very special day dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of sight - something we tend to take for granted.

World Sight Day (WSD) is an annual day of awareness held on the second Thursday of October, to focus global attention on blindness and vision impairment. World Sight Day 2019 is on 10 October 2019.

The message is clear - look after your sight.

If your child wears glasses, they MUST have them in school every single day.

Make sure you get your child's vision checked (and your own!) - keep appointments and make a note of when you should get your eyes checked. Your vision is IMPORTANT - 'vision comes first'.
