Ash Wednesday is the beginning of Lent. Lent is a 40-day period of fasting and repentance for our Catholic faith.
In 2023 it falls today on 22nd February and is the beginning of 40 days of fasting, reflection and repentance for millions of people across God's world.
Lent requires believers set aside time every year to recognise the period and its connection to Jesus Christ and his time in the wilderness.
At St. Bernard's, even though we are not in school, we can start this journey in private and family prayer.
