PARKING NEAR SCHOOL - please be careful and courteous

    17 November 2022 (by admin)

Neighbouring residents have mentioned that SOME PARENTS are parking across drives, across pavements, blocking private driveways. PLEASE, AGAIN WE POLITELY ASK FOR PARENTS TO PARK WITH DUE CARE AND CONDSIDERATION.

The morning 'drop-off and after pick-up' are always challenging. This is the case in many schools up and down the country. EDUCATIONAL ESTABLISHMENTS fully rely on the common sense and goodwill of parents. It is about the SAFETY and WELLBEING of ALL CHILDREN after all.

It's easy to park further away from school and walk to St. Bernard's to drop off/pick up. It's the SAFEST way.

Accidents, involving young children, do happen outside school establishments. It's is upsetting to read and must be absolutely dreadful for families and school communities when they happen. The consequences for some families can be lifelong. We MUST always bear this in mind.

Please help - don't block driveways, pavements AND PARK IN A SAFE PLACE. We want every child to GET TO SCHOOL SAFE. We want every child to GET HOME FROM SCHOOL SAFE. Don't be the cause of an accident because of inconsiderate parking!

Thank you parents - spread the word please.
