WHAT A LOVELY DAY IN SCHOOL - a busy end to a busy year!

St. Bernard's BASKED in the warm weather today - a wonderful day in school...

Year 4 and Year 6 started their in-school swimming sessions and the EXCITEMENT was visible for all to see - the children thoroughly enjoyed taking a dip in the cool and refreshing Commonwealth Games size school pool. THEY WERE AN ABSOLUTE CREDIT TO THE SCHOOL - sensible and swimmingly mature! Don't forget your SWIMMING KITS tomorrow Y4 and Y6.

Children were also very sensible in the heat today - note, we are stopping activity based breaks/lunchtimes (no sports equipment is allowed to be used during breaks/lunchtimes). Children are sitting in the shade, socialising and relaxing. Children are wearing sun caps/hats. We will keep this going as a safety precaution.

Finally, well done to our YEAR 2 Sandwell Valley explorers today - pond-dipping and MINI-BEAST HUNTING galore today and a BRILLIANT trip was had by all. Mrs Humphreys and the staff mini-beast team are proud of you all.

Roll on TUESDAY at St. Bernard's (another hot, hot, hot day alert!). Again, be prepared!
