THAT WAS THE WEEK THAT WAS...

What a busy, busy, busy and exciting end to the school term - so much going on at school. Thank you for your continued support parents.

A week starting with our wonderful SACRAMENTAL JOURNEY for all of our HOLY COMMUNION candidates - a beautiful Mass of the Holy Eucharist. They also partied on Friday afternoon...lovely celebration event.

A week that included x3 DISCO FEVER events for the grooving children of St. Bernard's - so much of 'get low with the fever on the dance floor' - £1333 raised with a tremendous amount of joy thrown in the DJ PTA mix.

A week that included Mrs Jess Phillips - Labour Member of Parliament for Yardley - inspiring the vocational politicians of the future. An excellent insight into the world of local, national and international politics.

A week that included internationally renowned author Sue Hendra - a lover of drawings and writing. You'll soon see her books animated on TV - 'Supertato' - her books have been translated into various different languages.

A week that included a 'live-link up' with the National Space Agency for our adventurous Y2 astronauts - 'I'm up in SPACEmaaaaan' - WOW! What an experience!

A week that included our ongoing after school clubs galore...finishing with the FOOTBALL team winning medals at a local tournament.

So now we all look forward to another busy term STARTING ON MONDAY 6th JUNE - red, white and blue QUEEN'S JUBILEE day in school. Get ready, start thinking of what you can wear and WE WILL ALL HAVE A RIGHT ROYAL 'fish n chip' PICNIC in the grounds of Windsor Bernard's!

If you have a picnic blanket, don't forget to bring it to school!
