It's the final NEWSLETTER swaying your way today on this beautiful Saturday morning. We hope you all have a wonderful easter break - richly deserved. The children of St. Children's continue to shine and make an incredible difference.

It has been an unbelievably busy and bustling school term - time flies when you're having educational fun!

So MUCH happening, so much seen and so much going on behind the busy scenes - a BIG thank you to the staff team, the PTA, Governing Body and especially our children.

This week alone we have seen successful social fundraising events (organised by the children) - raising money for the Ukraine appeal. We have waved goodbye to some of the staff team (Mr, Vinti, Mrs Griffiths and Mr. White) - they will be missed and we thank them for being part of the school journey...but we'll no doubt see them again sometime - always part of the school family.

Perry the Commonwealth Mascot Bull also made an appearance and was let loose around the premises ("Is it Mr. Foley in that costume? It looks like him", "I think it's Mr. Vinti", "No, Perry is too tall, it's got to be Mr. Yoxall"). Mr. Snape was witnessed skipping through St. Bernard's school dressed as a colourful Morris dancer - one child commented, "I've never seen him move so well"

So much fun, enjoyment and 'head turning' in school this week because it was an amazing, memorable and fun week. Did I forget to mention the BOOK FAIR with Miss Reely selling bargains galore after school every day? What about the celebration of books with hundreds of parents and children looking through hundreds of exercise books? Busy indeed!

However, the highlight of being at St. Bernard's is always the FAITH aspect and the children and staff made us all proud as they came together, 14 classes creating 14 magnificent and spiritually reflective stations of the cross - beautiful, emotional and moving...deepening our understanding of why we are able to be together as a wonderful school family. The school hall was transformed...something special was very much in evidence. The atmosphere was reverent, prayerful and powerful.

We journey together with Christ during Holy Week.

God bless to you all this easter.
