    PUNCTUALITY & ATTENDANCE MATTERS

    25 November 2021 (by admin)

The school is working alongside the Authority and SPOTLIGHTING on ATTENDANCE. School attendance really matters and it's important your child is PUNCTUAL and has a good attendance record.

The weekly swaying NEWSLETTER will soon be swaying your way and it includes very important information on ATTENDANCE.

*The school has sent SPOTLIGHT on attendance letters out already.

*The school has sent recent SPOTLIGHT attendance statistics to some parents keeping parents fully informed.

*The school is promoting attendance matters with all the school children.

*School is making 'attendance related' phone call wellbeing checks.

*The school conducts unannounced home visits as and when necessary - making reasonable enquiries.

*The school hands out certificates of attendance at the end of the school term to reward children.

*The 'Authority Education Legal Team', assisting with SPOTLIGHT, are being proactive corresponding with parents if attendance is an ongoing serious concern - matters will be taken further.

The school is fully aware that genuine illness, covid-related matters and other personal medical issues can affect school attendance - it is perfectly understandable that this can be the case. Parents MUST fully cooperate and inform the school at every stage (phone calls, provide evidence etc.).

School will support parents as and when needed. It's about a partnership approach BUT THE MESSAGE IS CLEAR...SCHOOL ATTENDANCE MATTERS.

Thank you for your full cooperation.
