It is absolutely imperative that St. Bernard's has accurate numbers of children returning to school on Thursday 4th June. THIS INFORMATION IS FOR RECEPTION/YEAR 6 PARENTS.
This is to ensure that school can plan for children to be kept in socially distanced bubbles following government guidelines.
PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU SIMPLY TURN UP WITHOUT LETTING SCHOOL KNOW BEFOREHAND THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE because school is planning for CONFIRMED numbers only and has put a staff quota in place accordingly.
If the safety quota is exceeded the school will need to plan for a fortnightly timetable and change planning processes.
YOU MUST GIVE ST. BERNARD'S A NOTICE OF 1 SCHOOL WEEK IF YOU INTEND TO SEND YOUR CHILD IN - this means that parents in REC/YEAR 6 cannot simply turn up on Thursday 4th June. The deadline has already passed as we stated in previous correspondence.
We know it's difficult and challenging BUT PLEASE NOTE that if you change your mind and want your child to start in RECEPTION/YEAR 6, the next starting date will be Monday 15th June for these year groups (so let school know by Monday 8th June).
THIS IS TO ENSURE WE DO OUR VERY BEST TO MAKE THE SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT SAFER - you need to help us plan accordingly and work in partnership.
