News Stories BREAK UP FRIDAY 9th February 2024 St. Bernard's Catholic Primary School breaks up at the end of the school day on FRIDAY 9th FEBRUARY 2024. SCHOOL UNIFORM STANDARDS MATTER - the term ahead - SMARTNESS MATTERS SCHOOL UNIFORM gives an immediate identification and inspires a real feeling of oneness. It's what we are about - ONE FAMILY. PTA REMINDER about READ-A-THON money BIG thank you to the PTA READING CREW who have been push, push, PUSHING the READING agenda at St. Bernard's - every little helps! Now it is time to start count, count, COUNTING the fundraising amount! ATTENDANCE MATTERS - we are ALWAYS PUSHING the AGENDA. It matters! School actively works in partnership with Birmingham Education Services - The Education Legal Team. ATTENDANCE IS CRUCIAL! It's about your child NOW, it's about your child's future prospects. GOOD to EXCELLENT ATTENDANCE... REMINDER about PE DAYS in SCHOOL Children can come to school wearing their smart and sporty school PE KIT on these designated PE days. BUSY, BUSY, BUSY DAYS, WEEKS ahead - check it out So much going on (all the time!). It's busy and you need to be in the know...kept informed...with as much information as possible. The school newsletter is of course the main DETAILED source of information. Some 'it's on the school horizon' reminders... SCHOOL STAFF CAR PARK notice - WARNING It goes without saying that parents driving vehicles should not use the staff car park. It has been noticed during the school week that some cars have been spotted in the car park area. PLEASE DO NOT USE IT or ATTEMPT TO USE IT. WAKE GREEN ROAD - notification of 1 day closure There is a sign on the WEAKE GREEN ROAD stating '1 day closure' (located near The Shires building, next to St. Bernard's school). Please be aware that there may be some disruption to your journey times. MENTAL HEALTH MATTERS (we all have to manage our mental health) Next week, school really focuses on the topic of MENTAL HEALTH, because it's part of our curriculum focus. MENTAL HEALTH is something WE ALL HAVE to MANAGE...it's important to think about it, talk about it, and manage it. PTA - THE BIG READ-A-THON is FINISHING SOON (very soon!)
