A big thank you to the children and staff this week. St. Bernard's Catholic Primary School had an in-depth safeguarding audit completed by BrightCore Safeguarding Consultancy.
A 'Brightcore safeguarding audit' was undertaken at St Bernard's Catholic Primary School this week - Brightcore's standard safeguarding review is extremely comprehensive and examined over 250 aspects of safeguarding provision against current statutory guidance.
A detailed review of the school's safeguarding and child protection policies.
An audit of the school website to ensure safeguarding information and statutory documents are compliant and accessible.
Examination of the school's annual safeguarding audit and action plan.
Scrutiny of key documentation and policies linked to safeguarding.
Meetings with senior leaders, governors, designated safeguarding leads (DSLs), staff and other stakeholders to evaluate the whole-school safeguarding culture.
Evaluation of safeguarding records, risk assessments, training, recruitment procedures and compliance with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) requirements.
Review of the school's approach to child protection, early help, attendance, online safety, staff training and safeguarding governance.
