MEDICATION, MEDICATION, MEDICATION - end of school year

    10 July 2026 (by admin)

Help us to help your child...FINAL DAY, when school breaks up - FRIDAY 17th JULY 2026.

EPIPENS MUST be taken off the school site by parents and RETURNED at the start of the next academic year.

    This is very important.

Pupil inhalers must also be taken home on Friday 17th July 2026.

When the school term starts in September 2026, parents MUST sign the administration of medication form (school office) if a child has an INHALER or EPIPEN on the school site.

IMPORTANT - 'Benedict's Law'/Medical Needs - 'parents are responsible for providing accurate allergy information, supporting individual any pupil plans, and ensuring schools have access to necessary emergency medication under Benedict’s Law'

'Under Benedict’s Law, parents play a crucial role in communicating allergy information, providing emergency medication, and supporting the creation and maintenance of individual pupil plans. By actively collaborating with schools, parents help ensure that children with allergies are protected and that staff can respond effectively to any allergic emergencies'

Please remember that St. Bernard's school has supplies of Calpol, Nurofen, Piriton and Piriteze solution. YOU DO NOT NEED TO SEND THESE ITEMS INTO SCHOOL.

Please remember that school also has emergency use inhalers and epipens on the school site.

Please remember that school has members of staff who are certified first aid at work and paediatric trained.

Please remember that St. Bernard's has an AED (defibrilator) on the school site.

    Thank you parents.
