HOT, HOT, HOT WEATHER...RED ALERT - MET OFFICE. Parents, we are keeping you in the school loop regarding ST. BERNARD'S SCHOOL EARLY 'PICK UP' ARRANGEMENTS (similar to today's arrangements).
We know of numerous local school closures and closures around the country because of the extreme RED ALERT temperatures!
We continue to do our very best in school managing the ongoing situation - water/hydration breaks for children, more rest breaks, adjustments to school uniform, adjustments to the lesson timetables, access to shaded areas in and around school etc.
Please note that St. Bernard's is still OPEN on Thursday and Friday.
Same early pick up arrangements will apply for both days - 1.15pm (same as today's please) - same gates will be opened.
PLEASE NOTE THAT IF YOU PREFER/OR ARE CHOOSING TO KEEP YOUR CHILD OFF ST. BERNARD'S SCHOOL (THURS/FRI) DUE TO THE UNDERSTANDING CONCERNS RELATED TO THE ONGOING HOT WEATHER ALERT & WARNINGS, 'BECAUSE OF THE EVOLVING EXCEPTIONAL CIRCUMSTANCES', THIS WILL BE GRANTED AS 'AUTHORISED ABSENCE' FROM SCHOOL.
