ATTENDANCE MEETINGS ongoing - ATTENDANCE MATTERS

    4 March 2024 (by admin)

Our regular ATTENDANCE meetings continued today. Very important. All part of the school's commitment to get the best possible school attendance for your child.

These meetings are meant to be supportive and also challenging - it's about getting the BEST possible educational start for your child in school.

We say it every single week...SCHOOL ATTENDANCE MATTERS!

GOOD school attendance = OPPORTUNITIES for life!

GOOD school attendance habits START AT A YOUNG AGE!

Talk to us if your child has ongoing medical reasons because we know, sometimes 'pupil absence' can be for genuine medical and sickness reasons.

It is about working in partnership with you.

    Thank you parents.

It is GOOD to know certain statistical facts:

    • 5 minutes late every day to school means around 3 ½ days of education are missed (children who regularly arrive late, walk into class embarrassed, upset, not knowing what work to do etc.)
    • 95% school attendance in a school year equates to approx 9 days absence
    • 90% school attendance in a school year equates to approx 19 days absence
    • 85% school attendance in a school year equates to approx 29 days absence
    • 80% school attendance in a school year equates to approx 38 days absence

    EVERY LITTLE HELPS!

HELP YOUR CHILD TO ACHIEVE THEIR VERY BEST!
