PACKED LUNCHES in school - guidance and advice

    27 September 2023 (by admin)

Just for clarification parents. Every little helps when it comes to preparing a yummy packed lunch!

It really helps if your child brings his/her packed lunch in a labelled packed lunch bag/holder.

Cold packed lunches can of course be brought into school.

Note, packed lunches are not kept in a chilled environment so we recommend that children do not bring certain items which could melt or become inedible.

Sweets, hot food & drinks, or fizzy drinks must not be included in packed lunches. School cannot heat/reheat packed lunch items (health & safety).

Water in water bottle/containers please - we provide drinking water on the school site also during lunch.

No cans please, glasses or flasks, or containers your child cannot manipulate unaided.

We also must insist that children do not bring NUTS or Nutella to school in packed lunch or for morning snack because of the risk to children with NUT allergies. We have children on site with life threatening allergies. This is VITALLY IMPORTANT.
