No doubt you will be aware that King Charles III has approved an order for the state funeral of Elizabeth II to be a bank holiday - the declared date has been set for Monday 19th September 2022.
Schools and colleges will close on Monday September 19th for the Queen’s funeral which will be a bank holiday.
In an email to schools and colleges, the Department for Education and Government said: “The official date of the State Funeral is 19th September 2022.
“This day will be a bank holiday and settings that are normally closed on a bank holiday should close on this day as a mark of respect. This will include schools and colleges.”
Please note that St. Bernard's will be CLOSED on MONDAY 19th September 2022.
